BELLO NOCK: Buck Wolf Article

High-Flying Clown Makes History at Sea
Tuesday November 30, 2010
Bello Nock Tightrope Walk at Sea

It's a stunt so daring it's never been attempted before: A tightrope walk at sea.

And since it's not your typical stunt, the record-setting feat was performed by someone who is definitely not your typical stuntman: Bello Nock, the daredevil clown who has performed with The Big Apple Circus, Ringling Brothers and more.

Nock, generally known to audiences by just his first name, recently walked along 403 feet of half-inch cable suspended 160 feet above cruise ship that was at least 20 miles from any landmass.

Combined with the height of the ship, Premier Cruises' "The Music Boat," Nock was 260 above sea level.

The feat, which took him just under 18 minutes, will be listed by Guinness World Records as the "Longest Tightrope Walk Unsupported" (not on land).

Nock did a great interview on the stunt, as well as his career and family, with ParentDish just a few weeks ago.

When asked what he would do if he succeeded with this stunt, he replied "I want to find bigger and larger cruise ships."
