There was a very famous stand up comic in Argentina, very subtle and gentle, he was even compared with Jack Benny. His name was Juan Verdaguer (1915-2001), his father was a very famous circus clown, auguste, Lindolfo. This Juan fellow used to do this very act, but playing a violin instead of a sax. He had the ladder separated in three parts for easy carrying, one day he lost one piece during his travels, so on the spur of the moment and needing to perform he became a stand up act.
