MONTE CARLO 2008: News?

Performers from the 32nd annual Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo (among them International Clown Hall of Fame inductee and 2007 Lou Jacobs Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Barry Lubin) which began last night January 17th and will run through January 27th.

Has anyone got any news?

According to word we got from Ernie Albrecht, who was there, Barry Lubin was well-received by the crowds and received a special award. The only other person we know of so far that we know personally who won an award is "Crazy Wilson" Dominguez who won a silver award.

Several performers got a special award. Particularly, I enyoyed the performing of a clown called Donimo. Subtle mime and great timing and funny.

Apart of the gold, bronze and silver clowns, all the artists received a special prize. I was there for the opening show. Sorry for my English, as French is my native language.
