A little Ringling history: We did this on Blue in '77, with three swords instead of two chairs. Richard Fick was our magician, looking his usual fabulous self,Dean "Elmo" Chambers, Herb Ledesma, and I did the swords, and Lenny Ciaccio got hypnotized. We weren't as smooth as this one, and we varied from show to show with the funny quotient. (F.Q.?) I wish we'd thought to pull a sword out "by accident." Still, the effect was similar.

The guy reminds so obviously Charlie Chase in "Sons of the Desert"!
