I'm pleased to learn that such a thing exists.
I'm curious to know why the museum closed and the collection passed on to the UofA. Here in the UK our wonderful little Clown Museum recently got shunted out to somewehere in the midle of nowhere where very few people can get to see it. It's probably a different story here, but my interest in the question of access.
I think collections like this get donated to universtity libraries because of the challenge of storing and documenting. Universities are set up to do that, so there is little extra cost to them, ensuring greater odds of a collection's survival. Limited access is better than no access at all...
