EVERYTHING OLD IS NEW AGAIN: Abbott & Costello Meet Key & Peele

Begin with the diner scene at the 9:00 mark.

Now take this routine that Abbott & Costello did on the Colgate Comedy Hour in 1952...

And compare it with this Key & Peele sketch from 2013...

If Clown Zippo is reading this comment, I would like to say hallo. My name is Louis. You can call my by my clown/stage name, Marcelino. I am a fan of European-style clowning. I am planning to become a clown, seriously. I have collected many European style clown acts such as; the Music Box Reprise, the Invisible Ball Reprise, the Spotlight Reprise, the Handbell Exentrique, the Nightingale Entrée, the Broken Mirror Entrée, the Bonbon Entrée, the Boxing Entrée, the Honeybee Entrée, and the Jape Sketch from Monty Python. I have discover recently, that someone posted a video on YouTube of the Bonbon Entrée from 1990 with Francesco Caroli, Angelo Munoz and Bernhard Paul (Zippo). Before the video was posted, I wondered how they did the act without a prop pan you put in the hat. When I saw the video, I think I figured out how they did the magic trick where they make the bonbon in the hat: After Francesco pours the ingredients into the hat. Bernhard and Angelo go in front of him. While Angelo laughs and says "Macht nicht kaputt" (which I ask to translate), Francesco take a kerchief filled with bonbon, quickly cleans out the hat and places the bonbon into the hat. If you're reading this comment Clown Zippo, would you give advice on clowning and how to start a clown troupe? Reply when you got time.
