I once worked a string of Shrine dates with Bill in 1983. His emphysema was pretty bad even back then. He and Trudi did an revolving aerial rocket act (I think it is the rigging Johnny Zoppe ended up with). One day in Omaha Bill coughed so hard he blacked out and fell off the rigging. He had to give up the act at that time. He sure was a hard worker and one helluva nice guy. He will be missed by a great many people.
