PAYASO BIRIBA



When performing Jerry Lewis' material it might be useful to remember that most children nowadays have never seen a typewriter.

True, the payaso didn't understand the assignment at all, but he did have a better background setting.
I'm afraid I am going to have to rule in his favor.

Ironically, Jerry Lewis is here using the wrong typewriter, which most children nowadays would not notice either. This one is an IBM Selectric, a "newer" typewriter (and huge favorite of writers in the era just before word processing machines) that did not have the older typerwriter's bell, warning the end of a line of type was nearing, nor the manual return that moved the paper down to the next line.
