Pat, You mentioned that Poodles and Joe Jackson, Jr. were friends. Poodles lived in the Lake George/So. Glens Falls area and Joe lived in Hadley, NY; they are not far from each other. I ran into Joe Jackson, Jr completely by chance when playing golf with my father-in-law, about 25 years ago. A great fan of the circus, Jean Hildreath, showed me a whopper of a gold ring with 3 rubies and 6 diamonds, she bought it at an auction, it was Poodles' ring.
