Wow...big time comedy at the shrine circus!!

Any info on the where, what shrine, and who's date?

Also, who is the ringmaster?

The funniest participant in this gag is the guy in the red and white hat who comes into view at 1:12 of the video.

He steals the show by the comedic way he tips his cap! He could teach those guys a thing or two about the art of minimalism.

Steve's right--this gag could use a couple dozen more clowns milling around and sitting on the ring curb. I actually saw a funny Shrine clown gag in Saskatoon back in '84 on the Zerbini show. The same guys were there every show, NOT drunk, with half decent wardrobe and make-up. The gag was similar to this one, but with a smaller box so the audience could see, and only about six clowns. There was some other big bang blow-off, I don't remember which. We (the pro clowns--Lee Marx, Bobby Davis, Vern Woerner, some first-of May named Joe and myself) did a fire hydrant gag and Lee Marx and I did a long shirt routine.
