John Ringling North II's Kelly-Miller Circus, America's One Ring Wonder, continues to circle the Dallas/Ft. Worth area with two shows today in White Settlement, TX.
Showtimes at 4:30 and 7:30.
Last night we had light, yet enthusiastic, houses in Rhome but it was a Monday and it was the day after Easter so it's just about what we expected.
I forgot to mention that Gary "Patches" Ray (cc '72) stopped by on Saturday. I wish that I'd had more time to talk with him. I have a million questions for him about the shows he was on back in the day.
Also, I've got to try to get a picture of Mr. North's new hat. Wade Burck is gonna plotz! They'll be calling him "SMS Burck"!

Next time you run into Patches, ask him who gave him the best dog he ever had. A white Spitz that anchored his dog act for years and made him look like an honest to God dog trainer.
I hope to meet JRNII one day. He seem's like a swell man, from reports. Not that slobbering suck up from Canine, but genuine statements from people I respect, like Danny and Tavana. If nothing else, I may be able to show him a jaunty way of wearing his hat tipped, which will give him a look of American cowboy authenticity. I've been to Europe, and I've seen some of the "stuff" they wear thinking they look like Tommy Lee Jones in Lonesome Dove. Clown costumes are not as creative or comical.
