What a great picture of one of circusdom's royal families! Those Jacobs girls are STILL just as beautiful today.
I feel so lucky to have been able to have been at Clown College when Papa Lou was there. I wish more people knew about him. I was at the Ringling Museum this afternoon and heard several people pass by his little car and ask "who's that?". I just wanted to scream!!I was so intimidated around him and yet I learned so much just by sitting and watching him. And feel just as lucky to be able to call Dolly a friend today. A more talented and CLASSY family you will rarely meet anywhere.
I am guessing 1972. I came on the show in 73 and those were not costumes from that show. The girls look the same as when I first met them. Lou Ann was at my 72 Clown College with a broken leg. I spent three wonderful years working and sharing a birthday with Dolly. The guy in the middle was kind of cool too!

I asked Dolly if she could pin down a date on this (I said I was thinking 1975). She said it was probably around 1973 but couldn't say for sure.
