Does anyone know why Paul Jerome would be shaving years off his career? He may have been 40 years old in 1940 but he had been a professional circus clown for over 20 years by this point.

I have photos of Paul on Barnum & Bailey with my great-uncle Hank Peare from 1915 at the latest. Let me see what I can find and scan for you.
