BOZO THE CLOWN: "Mystery Photos"

Can anyone out there confirm the what, where and why behind these photos.

I'm pretty sure that I know what they're from but not sure if I should let the cat out of the bag.

Pat,
(Between you and I,...
I wish you had not posted these but that is cool.)

Pat,
These wnoderful photos were taken in Culver City, Ca. in the winter season of 1949 during Elmo William's production of a series of TV films Capitol had produced for early TV distribution. The TV plan was set aside and the footage was used to produce "BOZO'S CIRCUS" a promotional film Capitol Released and toured the US with.
Bozo would make appearances and the film would be shown at local a theatre or store. The film features the only known footage of both the "Original Bozo the Clown" AKA; Pinto Colvig and the second TV Bozo and famed western& adventure film side kick Syd Saylor in Bozo makeup.

The "Circus Cop" is none other than Art LaRue and Bozo is portrayed by Syd Saylor.
The man shaking hands with Bozo,...is Capitol Records former Prez Glenn Wallichs. This fact was validated by Alan W. Livingston and Elmo Williams. It is believed that these photos were part of Glenn Wallichs' estate.

All of this information and MORE will be in my book on Bozo's History at Capitol Records, which will luck will be out in late 2008 early 2009. A very limited printing will be available, contact me for more info.

Hope this long winded comment helps to add to the posting.

IF anyone has additional info, I would truly like to learn about it, as I am always looking for additional info on Bozo's years at Capitol Records.

Best to you,
Tom Holbrook
