After his clowning career, Bill did a dressed dog act. He then went on to created the Wonderland Circus Revue which operates in the southern part of the USA.
Many years ago I was producing clown for the William Kay Shrine Circus (spot dates as we call them in the USA) and in Syracuse, New York we were very short on clowns.
Bill Kay made a deal with Bill to present the dog act in the first half and then run and change and do clowning the rest of the show.
I only met Bill once or twice before that but I did tell him that I did not expect him to do his full white face makeup considering the time restraints and multiple weekend shows in the same day.
His response was something like, "I've put this shit on so many times I can do it in my sleep."
For the entire engagement he always appeared in his full white face make-up. I still don't know how he did it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this gentleman more associated with dog acts?
John.
Yes, John.

Bill Brickle had a dog act, and was also a Ringmaster. Bill also had his own circus for quite a few years.
I knew he was a clown, but this is the first time I have seen a photo of him in makeup.
