Congratulations go out to the new Vice-President of Showfolks of Sarasota, Mr. Yankee Doodle Circus himself... Mike Naughton.To the best of my knowledge Mike is only the second Clown College graduate (after the late Dale Longmire) to hold elected office in the organization.

Congratulations too to Britain's Norman Barrett who has been awarded an MBE (Member of the British Empire) in the Queen's New Year's Honours List. The award is for Services to Entertainment.

There are MANY great volunteers at the Show Folks Club who have been donating countless hours of their time over the years. I just moved to Sarasota so I have a lot of catching up to do.
Last Saturday night it seemed like everyone from the Gold Unit was visiting the club; the place was packed with great energy.
The newly arrived performers from Cuba, Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria and points between were fascinated that the USA had a club just for showfolks.
Showfolks has FREE WIFI; so when you visit the club bring your laptops and share your videos. Many of the senior members don't have computers and enjoy watching the tapes and sharing their stories of their wonderful careers.
Congratulations to Show Folks! Mike is and will continue to be a great ambassador.
