cool skills, good costumes etc. is it funny? thats the trick isn't it? mixing skills and comedy. very entertaining, but would it matter if he took the makeup off? it just looks like an act, avery good act but an act how could he squeeze some SOLID laughs? mabey in the blow off he could knock over the table so its unexpected. hmm something to thik about. how about getting stuck with a fork in the eye and be like "just kidding" clown boy is pretty funny ..let us have it clown boy!
This guy has a lot of talent . He's got good skills manipulating different things but needs a good solid ending . He seemed to just get the audience and himself warmed up when the act stopped . He's also got to clown it up . I think he could do the act without the chef costume too . Doesn't need it . If he has to dress as a chef maybe instead of using the metamorphosis trick he could've done a quick change routine starting in street clothes then he goes through one of those in/out doors that are used by the waiters and then comes out the door as a chef. The tablecloth gag was rushed and we knew what was coming anyway. It would have been great if the things on the table weren't gimmicked . I'd still like to see more of his work. Thanks for for sending it in . clOwn bOy
Every clown has to be some what vulnerable and childlike depending on the clowns character. What is this chefs character? is he stressed or sad or what? it may not seem like it , but these thoughts are important in order to find the comedy. It is very important to find the drama first and then the comedy. This is a skills display and very scattered. The music doesn't match because the clown has not done his character homework. This gag could go to a higher level with more focused effort. Bugsby
