Bert Lahr, star of burlesque, vaudeville, film, television and Tony Award winner on Broadway, but most fondly remembered today as the Cowardly Lion in MGM's The Wizard of Oz (1939).
There is no date on this photo, nor is there a production associated with it so I don't know if it's from a film or a TV appearance.

Seriously, Larry Allen Dean is related to the legandry Mr. Lahr. I am not kidding -- having the pleasure of working with LAD for a summer season we shared many a good meal and even greater stories about show husiness in general and comedy in particular.
LAD has an astute sense of humor and very quick wit -- two traits that have served him well.
Hands down the besty looking clown that I've seen today, and I don't know why.
I don't think the cats ever found him humorous,,,,LOL
