Slivers or Spader?

Photo courtesy of the Fred Pfening Circus Archives

Another possibly misidentified subject: This photo is identified as Slivers Johnson on Sells-Floto in 1914.

It may well be Sells-Floto in 1914 but that appears to be SPADER Johnson (contemporary of SLIVERS Oakley), not SLIVERS Johnson.

I've only seen a handful of photos of either, can anyone else confirm or deny?

ifkxwI am sure Dime, & Slivers Johnson were pretty close to the same age, & Dime was born in 1913, if this is Slivers, he must have been, as Dime would put it, "born growed up".

When I'm wrong, I'm wrong, I just learned today from Bobby Parker, that Slivers Johnson was born in 1895, which means he would have been 19 when this picture was taken. That of course doesn't prove anything.
